It’s been a very hectic week, with new customers, punctures on delivery, hospital appointments. The early starts in the dark don’t help as you feel like you need to sleep earlier. It’s a very tricky time of the year for the body clock, the days getting shorter but you start to wake up in the dark. It kind of brings a sub-conscious tiredness with it. But, I promised myself last night that if I skipped a blog I would have to do one tomorrow. Anyway, since my last blog we have started delivering for two new customers. Both of which have come about through recommendations from one of our current clients who have been receiving amazing feedback from their clients about our service. It’s always truly humbling when people say such nice things, after all I am just doing my job, doing what I have been doing for over 16 years but now it’s for me. Only now can we truly test how far we can take excellent service, and even I am impressed by how we have evolved, and how unique what we offer is. Tomorrow we are speaking to another potential client, and if I can solve the logistical barriers it will open up another area of delivery which we hadn’t originally planned for.
Before that though I have to tackle Heswall, the trickiest of all my routes. The added darkness makes my quickest route into Heswall especially treacherous and mud spattered. Being out on the bike though when the sun is rising is just joyous. After years of being in an office or factory at that time of the day. I can only now truly appreciate the sunrise every working day.
I mentioned earlier in the post about a puncture which happened on Monday the 2nd as I was at my start point in Greasby. Delivered my first letter and then realised I had a flat tyre which was so annoying because I had barely got any delivery done but also because I had cycled for 25 minutes to the furthest point away to end up being the furthest point away from getting home. I would say it’s probably been over 35 years since I last tried fixing a puncture, but I managed to successfully negotiate that process as I was back out this morning around CH42. I am at a point at the moment where an unexpected problem which delays a delivery is not a problem, I can alter my afternoons work to accommodate any changes. It just further strengthens our position as not just the best solution for service and cost we are also the best solution for flexibility and communication.
Anyway, I am probably over compensating for missing blogs by over blogging and rattling on. I would like to thank JLM for their support for our business and their generosity in spreading the word about our exceptional service. We will continue to give the ultimate service to every single one of our supporters.
Not just a postman.
