It was a welcome easy re-introduction to life in Local Postal Solutions today, the last month and lead up to Christmas had been truly amazing. Our mail delivery was buoyed by the Christmas post and every day was rammed. Our parcel delivery service was in full swing and still managing to deliver over 90% same day as collection. It was awesome, and gave us a glimpse of what's to come every day this year. The higher volumes just makes everything more efficient and more cost effective.
Our targets for 2024 are ambitious but we believe easily within reach. By the end of 2024 we want to be delivering in excess of 7500 items of mail per month and 2500 parcels per month. It's not beyond the realms of possibility, who would have thought that 6 months ago when we started we would be delivering well over 3000 items per month after 170 days of business. Our rise has been off the scale and more and more people are recognising what a fabulous opportunity this is to receive a better service and reduce postal costs significantly every single day.
We delivered around 1500 Christmas cards saving Wirral residents £300,
we delivered a further 1300 items of mail for local businesses saving them £280,
we delivered around 800 parcels same day saving Wirral residents and businesses and services a whopping £1424. That's well over £2000 saved in the month of December. But that's not all, due to our Christmas post we raised £150 for the Wirral Stroke Survivors Art Group.
